Tennis, a game of intense synchronization and unfaltering focus, is not one to be taken lightly by the JV Tennis team. These boys work hard to earn their place on the court, and junior Aydenn Bennett and freshman Riley McCown are no exception. This doubles team was striving to finish their season with a victory, as any athlete would.
McCown has big shoes to fill as his brother, junior Garrett McCown, plays for the Varsity Tennis team, while Bennett just wants to extend the short season so he can focus on improving even further.
“This season started pretty rough for me. I wasn’t playing well,” said McCown. “I got a lot better in the season just through practice and work.” The hard work payed off for the pairs, winning their match 8-2 against Highlands Ranch, and helping Legend to a victory for their last game of the season.
